Teachers who have been unable to attend the Morehead Writing Project Summer Institute due to time and travel constraints should consider enrolling in EDUC 608 for the Fall 2012 semester.
We will explore important issues including “what is a writer” and “how do you become a writer” while using our own writing as the context for our growth and development as teachers of writing for K-16 students. In addition, we will pursue individual topics of interest relevant to our classrooms, students, and professional goals.
This Community of Practice will be based on National Writing Project goals and principles and best practices for the teaching of writing.
