2012 KWP Conference to be Sept. 8

The Kentucky Writing Project will host its 2012 Conference on Saturday, Sept. 8.

The conference will feature strategies for meeting the new literacy standards and integrating technology into your classroom as well as teaching:

  • argument
  • grammar
  • literacy in the content areas (history and social studies, science, and technology)

The conference will also feature Jean Anne Clyde and Shelly Barber, the authors of Breakthrough to Meaning, and picture book author Peggy Mercer, There Come a Soldier.

The conference offers six hours of professional development credit and will be held in the Porter Education Building on the campus of the University of Louisville.
