The Morehead Writing Project is adjudicating the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards again and this year will also include our very own Eastern Kentucky Writing Region. We hope our community will rally once againto not only help us score but also to make our 2023 contest something wonderful for our student writers and their teachers!
Liz Prather is serving as the Scholastic Juror Coordinator this year for the Morehead Writing Project. If you are interested in serving as juror this year, please RSVP by Friday, December 9.
As a juror you can expect the following:
- A $75 stipend
- Reading student writing online for 5-10 hours between Dec. 16, 2022, and Jan. 10, 2023.
We will also host a Juror Reading Day this year on Saturday, December 17 from 9am-12 pm at an as yet to be determined location in Mt. Sterling. Come join us to commune as writers and plan for the future of the Morehead Writing Project’s connection to the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
