3rd Write Across America Kicks Off June 28

In 2020 while the pandemic kept us home and isolated, the National Writing Project experimented with a virtual writing marathon with stops around the country. Hundreds of writers virtually visited nine National Writing Project sites that summer with a powerful conclusion at the home of the writing marathon. Writers and hosts so enjoyed the experience that in 2021 NWP once again wrote across America and visited 12 sites culminating in the birthplace of the National Writing Project. Write Across America will return again in 2022 with seven sites hosting writers. Sign up today! All writers are welcome.

Kentucky has been a host each of the three years. Morehead Writing Project was one of the inaugural year hosts and Louisville Writing Project kicked off the 2021 marathon. This year Morehead Writing Project will team up with their NEH partner Hindman Settlement School.
