The Morehead Writing Project piloted a new Writing Studio program during the 2012-2013 academic year. The program will continue during the 2013-14 academic year.
Training teachers and pre-service teachers in the best practices of teaching writing by modeling writing groups, the MWP Writing Studio is intended to work with students K-16 in need of writing support.
Individual teachers at any level can work with MWP to arrange for Peer Writers to work with studio groups in their classroom. Administrators can work with MWP to start a studio program at their school.
In the MWP Writing Studio, trained Peer Writers will work with small groups of students in either face-to-face or online sessions over time to help students work through the obstacles to their writing success by focusing on the writer and providing the necessary support and guidance.

MSU education students in all areas are encouraged to apply. Learn more here.
