Fall 2013 MWP Writing Studio Peer Writers

Peer.Writer2Applications will be reviewed beginning Friday, April 5, 2013

Review will continue
until the Fall 2013
Studio Learning Community is full.

Applications received after April 5
will only be reviewed
if there are still openings available.

Selected applicants will be invited to interview

Interviews will be completed by May 3

Who should apply?

  • Students (either in or almost ready to apply to the Teacher Education Program) interested in learning the best practices for teaching writing
  • Future educators open to examining their teaching practices and interested in learning how to incorporate writing into any subject area
  • Students interested in joining a Professional Learning Community of experienced and pre-service teachers

Why should you apply?

  • Work with students K-16 in both face-to-face and online writing groups
  • Opportunity to earn extended field service hours
  • Transformative learning experience
  • Unique opportunity to work with the most powerful professional development model in existence (the National Writing Project)
  • Chance to receive financial award for outstanding service
