KWP 2017 Fall Conference on Schoolwide Literacy

The Kentucky Writing Project State Network will hold its 2017 Fall Conference on Schoolwide Literacy on Saturday, Sept. 30, on the University of Louisville campus.

The six hours of professional development will focus on improving student achievement through research-based practices in writing. P-20 educators interested in improving literacy instruction should attend in order to learn strategies for improving student achievement in literacy. There will be sessions featuring the work of the National Writing Project’s renowned College, Career, and Community Writers Program (C3WP) which focuses on argument and opinion writing. All sessions will enhance classroom literacy practices through active demonstrations.

The event will run from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and take place in the University of Louisville Porter Education Building.
