Dr. Deanna Mascle, site director of the Morehead Writing Project, presented at the Commonwealth Commitment Summit: College and Career Ready sponsored by the Kentucky College and Career Readiness Initiative Feb. 27-March 1 in Lexington.
Mascle joined educators from area school districts and post-secondary institutions as well as as representatives of the Kentucky Department of Education and Council on Postsecondary Education as they shared their “success stories” and discussed their commitment to the success of education at all levels in Kentucky.
Her presentation was “The Morehead Writing Project: Bridging, Collaborating, and Creating Community” and included a discussion of the National Writing Project and how this powerful professional development model provides a bridge among educators from primary through postsecondary by creating collaborative professional development experiences and learning communities.
