Outreach Co-Director Tim Reding, an English instructor at Morehead State University, presented “Teaching Argument Writing for the New Common Core Standards” to the English Language Arts Network of the Kentucky Educational Development Corporation on June 13.
A former middle school language arts teacher, Reding has taught at Morehead State University for more than a decade. He primarily teaching developmental writing, Writing I, and Writing II.
In addition to leading professional development for the Morehead Writing Project, Reding serves on the Morehead Writing Project Leadership Team and oversees MWP outreach projects including the 2012 Global Graffiti writing camps, 2012 Writing Eastern Kentucky Conference, and Teen Writers Day Out program.
