The Morehead Writing Project hosted teen writers from Boyd, Fleming, and Rowan counties on the campus of Morehead State University for a Teen Writers Day Out on April 18, 2013.
National Writing Project teachers from each of the three schools brought selected students to engage in a writing marathon which included six-word memoirs, flash fiction, and slam poetry. A group of students from Fleming County High School also attended the morning session of the MSU’s 2013 Creative Writing Symposium and the Rowan County High School students attended the afternoon session.
MWP held its first Teen Writers Conference in 2012.
