Looking For an Authentic Writing Opportunity For Your Students?

Check out the new National Writing Project initiative: Our Towns, Our Stories where Eastern Kentucky teen writers will join others from Arkansas, California, Kansas, North Dakota, and Wisconsin in an authentic writing adventure.

The Morehead Writing Project has room for a few more teacher partners to take part in the work of the National Writing Project’s MacArthur Civic Journalism Grant program. So far we have teachers at Fleming, Mason, and Rowan county high schools participating in the project, but we would love to showcase the wonderful writers and stories of Eastern Kentucky. The Our Towns, Our Stories work also offers a number of great teaching resources.

Reach out to Eric Morris at Morehead State or Alora Chesney Jones at Fleming County High School if you are interested in this work.
