4 MWP TCs to present at 2012 KWP

Four Morehead Writing Project teacher-consultants have been asked to present at the 2012 Kentucky Writing Project Conference planned for Sept. 8 (read more here).

Inspired by their collaboration to lead the MWP Tech Academy, Billie Jo Thornsberry and Laura Daniels will teach educators how to create educational videos for their students in “Flip Your Classroom” and Daniels will also lead a session about the Literacy Design Collaborative and module creator software.

Fresh from their collaboration to lead our summer writing camps, Kathy Miller and Brandis Carlson will share ideas to motivate and engage young writers.

Thornsberry teaches science and Project Lead the Way at Lewis County Middle School; Daniels teaches fifth grade for Fairview Independent Schools; Miller teaches first grade at Hannah McClure Elementary School in Clark County; and Carlson teaches kindergarten at Straub Elementary School in Mason County.
