Billie Jo Thornsberry and Laura Daniels, both members of the Morehead Writing Project Leadership Team, led the 2013 Kentucky Writing Project Technology Academy held at Morehead State University June 17-19.
The pair led 20 teachers in a three-day workshop which covered several aspects of technology and literacy including digital publication, digital storytelling, and a number of tools to support teaching and learning. There were also lessons featuring the iPad Mini. Participants engaged in both learning the technology and designing applications for their own classrooms. Learn more about the workshop here.
Thornsberry teaches 8th Grade Science and PLTW:GTT at Lewis County Middle School and Daniels teaches fifth grade at Fairview Elementary for Fairview Independent Schools.
