The Morehead Writing Project wants to reconnect with our writing community from our teacher-leaders to the teachers looking for their people to the writers in our region seeking to spend a day writing in community. Help us spread the word! If you are interested in joining this writing marathon (which will be held in Morehead from 9-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21) please pre-register using this submission form.
We are also in the midst of rebuilding the Morehead Writing Project’s 2023-2024 Leadership Team. If you are a Morehead Writing Project teacher-leader interested in supporting teens entering our Eastern Kentucky Scholastic Contest or supporting a intermediate/middle or primary/elementary writing program please complete the (re)Connect in 2023-2024 form ASAP.

National Writing Project notes:
- Oct. 10 Write Across America (open to teen and adult writers!) will visit West Virginia for an amazing stop and then will Stop in Illinois in November
- Write Out will run from Oct. 8-22 (including our writing marathon and National Day on Writing)
- Connect with the Morehead Writing Project and the entire NWP network via the Write Now Teacher Studio.
