Shawn Justice rejoins the Morehead Writing Project leadership team this fall. “We are so excited to welcome Shawn home to serve as our Professional Development Co-Director,” said Site Director Deanna Mascle. “Shawn’s site leadership has always been an important force in the work of the Morehead Writing Project and her professional development is one of my earliest memories of my own writing project journey.”
Justice is a retired teacher and administrator with 33 years experience in Kentucky public schools. After retiring in 2019, she has worked as an instructor for Volgenau College of Education at MSU and has recently resumed the position she held previously as Co-Director of the Morehead Writing Project. Shawn will be working directly with teachers and school districts as well as Morehead State University to assist pre-service and practicing teachers develop in the areas of literacy, with an emphasis on writing instructional best practice.
“Bringing Shawn back into our leadership team is an essential part of reframing the work of our site,” Mascle said.
