A Story Runs Through It: Write What Matters

The Morehead Writing Project will hold its 2019 Fall Writing Retreat from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, on the campus of Morehead State University with the theme “A Story Runs Through It: Write What Matters.

This writing retreat is designed to enrich your writing to make your point with activities created to bring joy and structure to your (personal and professional) writing. While crafted to support K-12 teachers as they develop lessons for the new literacy standards, they will support all educators as well as writers.

Come write with us! Participants will learn ways to include information, argument, and narrative into braided text through low-stakes writing exercises with high impact.

Participants will learn to select relevant stories as well as how and when to embed story, information, and argument into their work.

Admission is $50, lunch not included. Six hours of professional development credit can be earned by participants. Register online today!
